ABOUT

Music and science mingle daily in singer, songwriter and engineer’s life Fatima Radics, who released her self-produced debut album The Aftermath in November 2013. Highly personal, the album is flawlessly crafted in an almost mathematical way, where catchy melodies, intricate lyrics and clever arrangements give each song a universe of its’s own. It took a year to write The Aftermath, which is about courage to rebuild after a break-up, surrender to the unexpected and eventually settle down when finding your soulmate.

Born in Romania to Hungarian descent parents, Fatima arrived in Montreal at the age of 10. Above all a classically trained singer with a powerful sultry voice, Fatima has been performing on Montreal’s local scene since 2001 at places such as the famous Butte St-Jacques, l’Assommoir, Lion d’Or, Club Soda, Théâtre Plaza and the prestigious Salle Wilfrid Pelletier of the Place des Arts. She was also special guest for French rocker Jonas from Jonas & The Massive Attraction in 2012.

Fatima started writing in 2004. Usually inspired by her entourage, she writes about her emotions in a creative and unpretentious way, often adding a twist to her lyrics that is sure to pleasantly surprise those who are listening and analyzing. She is undeniably a strongly sensitive songwriter who will not hesitate to write accessible melodies to accompany her lyrics, which are guaranteed to be stuck in your head after just one listen!

Also described as an experienced singer and energetic performer, Fatima has a straightforward style that allows no compromise. Her pop-rock sound is influenced by artists such as P!nk, Joss Stone, Maroon 5 and John Mayer. Along with seasoned guitarist, composer and producer Hubert Tremblay, bassist Samuel Leonard, pianist and keyboardist Kepler Jean-Baptiste and drummer Frantz-Lee Leonard, Fatima Radics is ready to tackle the music scene and to be heard!
